Dreamworks Shrek is voted back in the LEGO Ideas Review

After 111 days, Dreamwork's Shrek Swamp made it to LEGO Ideas. Pedro_RuizMx's model collected the necessary 10,000 votes from fans, making it the 9th model in the 2nd review phase in 2023.

The model is faithfully recreated as we see it in the film. The set contains the cabin, as well as the separate toilet with the famous crescent moon door and some minifigures.

The hardest part, according to the fan designer, was finding the right shapes for the characters. So Shrek comes in two versions: a buildable figure that captures the character's aesthetic, and a classic minifigure that can be played around the house and bathroom.

There are a total of five minifigures of Shrek, Fiona, Big Bad Wolf, Little Pig and Pinocchio, plus two baby figures of the Gingerbread Man and a blind mouse. There are also donkeys and the aforementioned buildable Shrek figure.

In the final review phase, two models already convinced the Ideas Community. Shrek's Swamp and Shrek's Swamp - 20th Anniversary are now awaiting review by the LEGO Ideas Designer Team. If one of the concepts received a positive assessment in the fall, this swamp version would of course be out. But I have to admit that I actually like this version a little better, as the bright colors are more in line with the film. I'm curious to see if we'll get a set for the popular Dreamworks film series soon. Let's wait!
