To coincide with the 10th anniversary of The LEGO® Movie's release in UK cinemas, we thought we'd round up the 10 best sets inspired by the much-loved film. When the film was released in 2014, it was supported by a number of sets of sets, a range of collectible minifigures and an extensive range of companion products, some of which also included exclusive minifigures and minibuilds. Not only that, but it also featured an impressive direct-to-consumer set. But where were they in the Top 10?

Number 10 – 70801: the Melting Chamber

One of the smallest sets released in the LEGO Movie range, but based on a key moment in the film. The set included a trio of minifigures in two of the main characters – Emmet & Wyldstyle plus were a decent price.

Number 9 – 70804: Ice Cream Machine

During the climactic ending of The LEGO Movie, the citizens of Bricksburg join forces to battle the Micro Managers and Lord Business' Kragle pistol. In true LEGO style, this results in a crazy collection of crafts, once normal vehicles scattered around the city. The best of these is the Ice Cream Truck, which can be built in normal or battle mode.

Number 8 – 70806: Castle tower

One of the most beloved classic LEGO themes is the early Castle series, which was represented in one of the crazy 2-in-1 vehicles. The set is the only 2-in-1 model that didn't start out as another vehicle, but is part castle and flying battment.

Number 7 – 70815: Super Secret Police Dropship

The Police Drop Ship was released in a later series of The LEGO Movie sets, but not only does it look fantastic, it also includes a decent amount of minifigures, including the Green Ninja and the legendary Johnny Thunder.

Number 6 – 70807: MetalBeard's Dual

One of a few MetalBeard themed sets and the only one to feature the pirate master builder in his 'mech' form on screen. This is how MetalBeard is shown throughout most of the film, except when he is a photocopier. A smaller, less detailed version was also included in another set on this list.

Number 5 – 70809: Lord Business' Evil Lair

Not only is Lord Business the CEO of the Octan Corporation, he's also a villain, and every villain needs an evil hideout. Inspired by the aforementioned lair, this set features Lord Business in his truly evil form, complete with a tie-like cape. It also featured some great characters, like a unique 'corporate' version of Unikitty and Bad Cop's 'cragled' parents.

Number 4 – 70818: Double-Decker Couch

Another of the sets released after the first wave and one of the most affordable sets ever released. For just under £15 you get five characters, including the much-loved Benny, a unique variant of Unikitty and Ghost Vitruvius. Plus, you get the famous double-decker coach.

Number 3 – 70803: Cloud Cuckoo Palace

Not only is the Cloud Cuckoo Land set quite colorful, it also has the honor of being seen in its physical form on screen as a structure that a younger child would build if set loose in your LEGO collection. In addition to a number of fun colored and printed elements, you also have the standard version of Unikitty.

Number 2 – 70816: Benny's Spaceship !

Classic Space is the most loved LEGO theme. There have been plenty of other space sets released over the years, but none have captured the magic of the original Classic Space sets. Until one of the LEGO Movie sets honored Classic Space in style with the awesomely named spaceship Spaceship, SPACESHIP.

Number 1 – 70810: MetalBeard's Sea Cow

The best set released in The LEGO Movie range was a direct-to-customer beast. The Sea Cow may not have featured in the movie for long, but it provided, not only an amazing LEGO Movie set but also an epic build, which looks amazing. This incredible set paved the way for other large-scale movie sets including Welcome to Apocalypseburg! and one of the best sets ever released – NINJAGO City.
